Wonder Management was founded in 2010 by Matt Emsell.
Matt Emsell began his career as Marketing Manager at MTV Europe in 2005 overseeing brand partnerships across the groups’ spectrum of properties including awards shows, events and TV. In 2008, he moved to Australia as Marketing Director for artist management company Scorpio Management. A year later aged 25, Matt was promoted to General Manager of Scorpio and was responsible for the careers of one of the strongest management rosters in Australia.
During the two years in this role, Matt oversaw releases from Lisa Mitchell (platinum record and 3 ARIA nominations), Evermore (Highest Selling Australian Song of the Year, Most Played Australian Song of the Year) and Amy Meredith (double platinum single, 2 gold singles).
Wonder Management opened in 2010 with a roster of Matt Corby, Amy Meredith and Faker.
In 2011, Matt Corby released ‘Into The Flame’ EP which has now achieved five times platinum sales. The single ‘Brother’ earned a host of accolades including ‘Highest Selling and Most Played Australian Song of the Year', triple j Hottest 100 #3 and ARIA Song of the Year.
In 2012, Wonder Management was responsible for the management rights of The Voice Australia, the highest rating entertainment show of the decade. Wonder oversaw the releases from the Top 4 contestants, with winner Karise Eden achieving five gold singles, a double platinum single and her album certified as the highest selling Australian album of the year. Wonder also took on the international management rights for Lakyn and 5 Seconds Of Summer.
In 2013 5 Seconds of Summer were the main supports on the One Direction World Tour on over 180 stadium shows around USA, UK and Australia/New Zealand. 5SOS received the Channel V Oz Artist of the Year Award and MTV USA's Buzzworthy Award. Matt Corby's 'Resolution' sold double platinum, was voted #8 in triple j hottest 100 and won ARIA Song of the Year. Wonder also added Grace Woodroofe to the roster.
